Some schools plan the trip at the beginning of the school season, so students and teachers can get to know each other better. Other schools see the trip as a closing activity before the summer holidays — the final moment before the class goes in different directions.

This is what the day looks like
The groups/classes are welcomed at Recreatiebedrijf Geythorn, beautifully located along the famous village canal of Giethoorn. Whether the journey was long or short, the activities always begin with something tasty (coffee/tea/soft drink and a delicious slice of krentewegge). Then it’s time for our enthusiastic team of experienced instructors to explain how to sail a traditional Giethoorn punter. Afterwards, the fun puzzle tour begins — sometimes requiring serious thinking! When the tour ends and the boats are returned, there is time to walk through the lively centre of Giethoorn. Along the way, you will pass shops, a pottery workshop and several museums — some of which are free to enter.
Back at the starting point, Recreatiebedrijf Geythorn, a delicious meal awaits the “school travellers”. It is the perfect ending to a school trip that will certainly be talked about for a long time.

Reception at Recreatiebedrijf Geythorn with coffee, tea or soft drink and a slice of krentewegge. An enthusiastic team of experienced instructors will teach you everything about sailing a punter.

Departure for the puzzle tour.

After returning the boats, there is time for a walk along the canals and bridges. Along the way you will pass a pottery workshop, gallery and various interesting museums.

Return to Recreatiebedrijf Geythorn for a delicious meal!
