The canals in Giethoorn are only about one meter deep, making a boat trip very suitable for families with young children. There is enough space in the boat for a stroller, buggy, or Maxi-Cosi, which can be placed on the bottom of the boat. For safety, children without a swimming certificate always receive a life jacket.

A whisper boat is less luxurious than a sloop. It is operated using the electric motor handle, while a sloop has a steering wheel. A sloop is more expensive to rent (from €195 per day) whereas a whisper boat starts at €75.
No, you do not need a boating license. A license is only required for boats longer than 15 meters or capable of speeds over 20 km/h, neither applies to whisper boats.
We offer two types: up to 7 people or up to 4 people. Our sloops are available for 5 or 6 people depending on the model.
